Just few days left and all the top 4 U19 Teams in Europe will compte for the 2017 European crown. Every team is now well prepared and ready to hunt Team Austria the reigning champions since 2011 !

Behind the hunt is lead by France and Germany long time contender nations. For Italy it’s the first appereance at international U19 and the underdog status will give them all the needed motivation to shake the european ranking.

TEAM AUSTRIA

HC : Roman FLOREDO

Winner : 2011, 2013, 2015

The ’17 Austrian roster will again be a favorite in its own succession. HC Floredo picked a solid team with several young players already having an experience of the AFL. Reds challenge is not to fall into confidence excess. Each player is different generation, the 2017 team will not be that of 2015. Despite all players will have to win to an unprecedented fourth crown.

TEAM ITALY

HC : Paolo BORCHINI

Winner: —

Team Italy is a newcomer on european U19 scene. HC Brochini players defeated Serbia in a qualifying game before joining Villepinte. A status that allows them to apprehend the competition without pressure. This status will make the latin country dangerous runners  in Friday’s first game.

TEAM GERMANY

HC : Peter SPRINGWALD

Winner : 2008

The German team come for a rematch. The HC Springwald’s team lost to the Austrian in 2015 Euro U19 Final in Dresde. They took advantage of the qualification tournament (Almere, NT) (V 51-00 vs Switzerland, V 47-00 vs Spain) to complete their preparation. The team has very good elements also playing in the GFL. Their route to the final is through the opening match against France. A game expected by all.

TEAM FRANCE

HC : Emmanuel MAGUET

Winner : 2004 , 2006

France will play the competition at home. Additional pressure or a boost towards a return to the foreground on the European scene. The players of HC Maguet have taken advantage of their absence at the U19 World Cup to prepare the team since 2015. The match against Germany looks complicated but “impossible is not French”. Tricolor players expect to pick up the fruits of their efforts in recent seasons.
